Hwy 400 and the Greater Toronto Area snow storm

Any TB'ers been on the 407 or 400 today? We have a gig in Barrie tonight, coming out of Brampton, and it looks like crap out the windows right now.

Can anyone offer road reports on the 407/400 area, and the 400 north?

They are a mess. I heard the 400 South was closed at some point.

Good luck on making it. The same thing hit us, everything is a mess. MTO site is what you want to check and give yourself lots of time.

Yeah, I was on it. I opted out of the gig. It'd take me 2 hours to get to the 407/400 from Brampton alone, then another 1-1.5 up to Barrie.

I was gonna drive home from Sudbury to Oakville tonight taking the 69, 400 and 401. After word from my parents who were on there a few hours ago, i won't even bother. It's apparently just a series of white-outs and ditched cars. Not good.

Man, that stretch of 69 is brutal, especially at this time of year. A lot better though now that they widened it. Remember when it was all 2 lane? Scary stuff.


I just hope the agent isn't a knob about it.

Arg, don't even get my started about the damn 69 sometimes. It used to be known for it's car in a ditch per kilometer in the winter before they widened it. It's still bad now, but it's manageable.

I'm gonna miss narrowly missing being hit head on in the turns when other cars lose it
