My "best friend" just told me she doesn't want to be friends anymore.

After all of the ****ing ******** I've done for her, she thanks me like this. I gave her gifts for her birthday, for Christmas... I took her to see Tosca. I went to movies with her. I helped her out when she got dumped. I went out of my way and dropped everything I was doing for her when she needed help.

And now, she doesn't want to associate with me anymore.

I don't know what happened. She never let on like anything was wrong. She acted like everything was just fine. And now, I have to ****ing deal with this. Out of the blue. A ****ing slap in the face.

Also, I wouldn't write her off just yet.

Women are crazy, you should know that by now. This all may blow over soon, or it may just stay how it is, etc...

Try to see exactly what is going on before getting all pissy and generalizing by saying you hate people. Don't blame people for crazy women friends.

Yet another reason not to let yourself get in the "friend zone" with a chick. Complete waste of time. You get to break up with her without any of the benefits of having sex with her. Awesome. AND you get to buy her gifts too. Move on. Don't be friends with chicks.

Maki makes a good point. I've been there plenty of times. It sucks and it's stupid.

I used to be "friends" with girls because I really wanted to try and get my foot in the door for something in the future. It doesn't work that way and it only sets you up for disappointments. Man up and go chase some tail to distract yourself.

Relax, dude. You're 17. This might seem like the biggest crisis in the history of Earth, but it's just to be expected in the dealings between men and women and it isn't that big of a deal.

Of course, right now you think I'm full of **** for saying this and am being condescending, but after you've gotten a few more years experinece with women you'll begin to see the light.

Believe it or not, no. I've been friends with her long enough to know that any sort of sexual relationship with her would be the biggest pain in the ass in the history of man kind. Totally not worth the effort.

I did enjoy being friends with her, though. I always enjoyed talking to her, and spending time with her was always very pleasant.

What happened is what always happens. She started seeing someone and he told her to stop hanging out with you and calling you.

And she said, "OK, dear."

Chalk it up to a lesson learned. Don't let it get you down too much.

Similar thing happened to me, except she didnt want to see me anymore because of she got a girlfriend!

If it is just genuine friendship, nothing else, then she might just be PMS-ing, as others have said, women get crazy!
