Back in January, during Atlanta's first snowfall, my neighbor was in a one car accident. When the cops arrived, the car was engulfed in flames and they were able to pull her out, but they couldn't reach her 3 year old daughter in the backseat and she was literally burned alive. At first we thought it was because of the ice, but there was no ice on the road that night. Then we thought that since her Toyota Highlander was on the recall list, maybe something happened with the car. Now that I know what really happened, I wanna strangle her and put a golf club to her ass!
I feel really bad for her family. Since they live across the street, I bring her little brother home from school with my son, since they're both in the concert and marching band together. I see the zero tolerance crew is well represented today. This is a terrible tragedy. The blame lies on the mother exclusively. That is indisputable.
But aren't we losing sight of the fact that this lady lost her daughter? As horrible as I feel reading about this, I can't come near how this woman must feel. She'll get to carry this around for the rest of her life.
If you're looking for revenge in behalf of the little girl, there's no need. This lady will never recover from this...... Nor will the family.
Compassion is a wonderful thing. It doesn't mean you're weak.... It doesn't change the idea that she will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. The local DA will see to that.
Oh well......... Flame away.

But it should be tempered with the knowledge that there is nothing you can do to her that she hasn't already wished on herself.
