Targets included propane tanks, automobiles, appliances, and large drums of fuel. This "outburst" ran for about 10 minutes, but the intensity had pretty much subsided at the 7 minute mark. Several shooters either did not reload, and/or they were no longer shooting tracers and incendiary ammo. The main range where the video was filmed is approximately 350-400 yards in length, and has a huge hill as a backstop. Due to the dry ground conditions and volume of smoke, you will notice the view becoming much more cloudy beginning around the 2:00 mark. | Quote: |

Isn't there supposed to be an ammo shortage happening? |

Believe me, these bubbas are paying big dough for their fun and Uncle Obama knows where they live. All is well...if you don't wander in downrange, I guess.

Maybe if I was familiar with that group of people and knew that there wasn't one jackass in the bunch I'd participate.

The money was the first thing I thought of too.
I wonder what our European friends think of this?

I wonder what our European friends think of this? | I love guns as much as I love cars (just an example) for the amount of engineering put into the design and construction of both. Not really interested in neither of them as the object of certain rituals. I just have to mention that this kind of "show" would be illegal anywhere in Europe, just as it is illegal for anyone to street race (almost anywhere in the world). Anyway, judging a certain approach to guns and its motives/pros/cons from the other side of the ocean (knowing ZERO of your society apart from cliches) would be too jerky and light on my side. I'm also not discussing "legal" or "illegal" as those still mean shite without the supreme rule of common sense/fairness/taste. |

As for being woried about the guy standing next to you...I think your odds of standing next to a homocidal maniac are better on the subway in NYC rather than at a range like that.
