I'm not getting any penny for this or any of my videos. I think this is an exaggeration that really pisses me off.

It's ridiculous, the same deal as the tabs being taken down, even if it's for educational purposes. I'm not a lawyer, but it doesn't seem right to me at all.

Plead your cause. Perhaps someone thinks you are making money from the videos.

Do you have the original music in your video?
I had youtube pull a video I made as a student film because it had unlicensed music in it. Basically it was the same letter as yours but "The Lemon Song" by Led Zeppelin was replaced with "Is It My Body" by Sonic Youth.

Yes. But again, I used it just as a backing track with no intention of getting any benefits.

I've just filled the dispute form, asking to reconsider the decision in the most respectfully possible way.

I think thats the problem, technically it is infringing on copyright laws to display another person's original work without consent.

Myself, I just used other peoples original music in the video, and I never used it to make money, just as an example of my movie making skills, but still, the music wasnt licensed, so it was taken down.

Nice work on that. Good that it's back up.

I can't believe that the record companies don't see how great advertising this is for the music they sell. I don't own a single Led Zeppelin record, but I seriously consider buying one now, after seeing your clip. The bassline in that song is just awesome!

I guess that was the whole point with the clip, so you could hear the bassline as clearly as possible.

Dear Alvabass,

In response to your dispute of a content identification match, WMG has reviewed your video Bassline for Tower Of Power's "What Is Hip?" and confirmed their claim to some or all of its audio content. As a result, your video is no longer available.

WMG claimed this content as a part of the YouTube Content Identification program. YouTube allows partners to review YouTube videos for content to which they own the rights. Partners may use our automated video / audio matching system to identify their content, or they may manually review videos.

Please take a few minutes to visit our Help Center section on Copyright Tips, where you can learn more about copyright laws.

Sincerely,
The YouTube Content Identification Team
I filled the dispute form exactly the same way I did with my "Lemon Song" video, explaining in the most respectfully way that I'm not earning any money from this video nor claiming any ownership over the original recording. It didn't work this time.

They've got a hard-on for you, and it's BS.

Perhaps if you shortened up the vid a bit like Marlowe did here, they'd leave you alone?

I have heard if you leave the audio out of the first 45 seconds of the video, then they will not copyright claim it.
