I did a google seach yet bandanas remain a mystery
When I was a kid back in the early 80's, it seemed like all the younger guys wore bandanas as headbands. Entering Jr. High headbands were out, and break dancers wrapped bandanas around their wrists and legs. Then when I was a teenager bandanas were things of Crips and Bloods, a way to identify oneself with which gang they pay alliance to.
A few years later, during the "Nirvana era" it seemed like a lot of guys wear wearing the "handkerchief hat," which I'm guilty of myself. Other than that I've only seen bandanas use to wipe sweat. And I've never seen anyone blow their nose with one. Now I'm sure these things have a million uses so............................................. other than a fashion accessory, what have you used a bandana for?
And some more questions: how long have bandanas been around?
Why the paisley design, and why does it have such "staying power?"
Stay groovy, my friends
