So, I just wanted to let talkbass know that, somehow despite myself, I got a job at Sweetwater Sound (www.Sweetwater.com). After I finish a month at my current job and the 13 weeks of training (Sweetwater University) I will be on the sales team. They are going to pay me to take courses on analog, digital, and midi!

My starting salary is also 2.1 time as high as my current wages! So watch out classified basses...here I come

As long as you don't leave messages on my answering machine like the other guy did, I'm fine

I think you have to change your user title to indicate you work there.

(Psssst.... since, uh, like, we're like, uh, fellow TBers, y'know... um... can we like... um... y'know... special deal..., yeah.... um... little love for the fellow bass guys?)

Congrats... I do a bit of biz with those guys (or I guess YOU guys now)... Just got a Zoom H4 for my school from SW last month. What a cool unit.

Hey... I am watching Price is Right and one of the prizes is a 6 string bass... Hohner. I don't think this chick plays it though...

If you ever gain any clout, get them to start carrying Musicman. I was ridiculously close to getting a Sweetwater credit card to buy a single H Bongo 6.

Congrats, I use to deal with them a lot when I had my own home studio and fancied myself to be some kind of a songwriter. That was back with an ancient technology called cassette tape. Can you even buy those things now-a-days? I still use them occasionally for cables, direct boxes, etc. It's a great operation.

Sweetwater seems to be the only major online music store that actually has a clue as to what they're talking about. Congrats.

Hmmm...
I will not call you and leave messages...because I can PM you MUHAHAHAHAHAHAH.
And, honestly I get the feeling that Sweetwater always does the best it can for customers. But if there is anything I can do for talkbass brethren I will. Just let me know(Although its months away.)

But really, thanks guys.

Same thing happened to me. So I'm sure you'll have to to the same thing. As someone already said, they're one of the few large musical supply houses that actually hires people that seem to have a clue.

Congratulations.

Tell Matt to stop calling me during work. I see my phone's ID, think it's important, and it's him.

I like that they call you.

I like having a salesperson who seems to care about me ending up a happy customer.

I'm not complaining, I appreciate the reminder that they're there. But frankly, if I'm not buying, it's because I don't need anything.

But yes, Sweetwater gets my money first.

Congrats! More money, plus those courses, sounds like a good deal. And I've heard good things about Sweetwater, too, though I haven't dealt with them.

Tell Dave H. that Allen H. from WV says hello.

Dave used to play in a band called Sex with Midgets.
