Blah yeah, I got back from the hospital yesterday. I felt this sharp pain on the right side of my stomache like 10 minutes after i was done working out. It took the crappy doctors 22 hours to finally operate on me, i was iin the emergency room with other screaming sick people the whole day.

It started hurting at around 8PM, took some pills and waited, i thought it was just gases. I went to a medical center at 11PM and they gave me some meds, told me to go to a bigger hospital if the pain didnt go away in an hour. I came back home and went to bed, i woke up at around 3 because i was hurting alot.

I went to the hospital at 3 AM, it took 4 hours for the doctors to arrive and they still didnt have any info. They came back 3 hours later and checked, they were sure i had appendicitis. I had to wait 7 more hours until they finally operated on me.

blah, free healthcare comes with a catch i guess.

So yeah, its my 4th day after surgery, I lost 8 pounds from the surgery, kinda funny because i was trying to work out and gain weight before my appendix hit me. I'm a person who has trouble gaining weight so will it be hard for me to get those 8lbs back? Oh and is there anything i can do to speed up my recovery?

You know what the worst part is? I spent 4 days off-of TB !

haha

Those 8lbs wont have been muscle, so dont worry too much

And paid for healthcare doesnt mean it is instand, I have had to spend time sitting for hours in a US hospital before.

Advice for speeding up your recovery? Try not to speed it up.

Attempts to speed recovery usually slow it down. Do what the doctors say and don't push it.

I had my appendix out 7 years ago and also lost around 10lbs. during the time I was in the hospital. Trust me, there's no quick way to speed up healing. You just have to take your time and only do what you feel up to. I was out of work for 3 weeks, but when I went back I had to be really careful and not do much.

So do you regain that weight pretty quickly or?
I heard getting up and walking around every once in a while is a good thing to do.

Bleh, sadly i dont have the actual appendix thingy so no pictures >.>.
I do have a scar though rofl, not that big, 5 stiches. 2.5 inches long.

I went into hospital for an appendectomy. Turned out my gut had burst. It was a big deal.
