I do remember when a lot of people were really irked when the Nike "Revolution" ad first came out. |

We, and I admit to being an Avart Guarde member of the age group but not the movement, have held our music (and films and even clothing styles) as the standard(s). The greatest events in our lives, including the fab-four, have been the cornerstones and verdant fields for the advertising agencies to harvest time and time again.
The comic book movies are in the theatres, the Cadillac Led Zeplin rip off, the ZZ Top Cool Sunglasses, etc. are all examples of how we are having trouble letting go.
The good news is that we are getting older and perhaps Gen X, Y and Z's music can step forward and take up there rightful places.

You know, fresh smell. |

| | | | I hate hearing any Beatles songs being used on commercials because it's some freaky pale guy who went and saw the plastic surgeon one too many times making money off of it rather than the people who actually wrote and performed the songs.

Of course, Cadillac has used Led Zeppelin.
Nissan has used songs by Ozzy Osbourne, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Stone Temple Pilots. |

He owned like half their music, and I don't think he owns it anymore. Don't quote me on that. I'll go do further research.

I thought their harmonies were good, as was their musicianship. Oh well, I guess that's why they have Coke AND Pepsi; Fender AND MusicMan; etc....
