It seems like it runs in a three day cycle, I finally get exhausted from not sleeping good a couple days then I sleep good only to have the alarm go off. I exercise and lift weights, but that does not seem to help. When I go for my yearly physical Friday, I am thinking of asking my doctor for a sleep aid to get my sleep cycle back. I have tried Melatonin but it doesn't seem to help. |

Also, avoid all caffiene and all energy drinks and alcoholic beverages. I've found that even a little of any of those can really mess with sleep. |

i usually get about 2-3 hours of sleep a night. if i play bass or whatever for a while (like more than an hour), i can tire myself out to get about 4-5 hours of sleep. that's a lot for me.

if I just sit on my ass all evening i have a hard time going to sleep ..
if i work a lot, then it's fine!

I have a fairly rigid sleep schedule but rarely have problems. I routinely take melatonin and also have an RX for Sonata, which I typically only use if something really sets me off. Typically I gotta be REALLY pissed for it to come to that.
Lifestyle wise, I work out a lot and I'm on a local Trek team, though still classified as an amateur racer. I eat reasonably well and don't drink heavily. I also make plenty of time to relax. I don't know if my routine is too overboard, but I rarely have the problems I've had. |

Also, when I have to get up early to travel I can never get to sleep. I worry to much about over sleeping and missing my flight. I don't take anything to sleep. If it is going on for a few day I will start walking around the block, but generally mine are not phyically induced so exercise does not put me to sleep.

| | | | I haven;t slept more than 3 hours on a given night for over 3 years.
Unless i get really drunk.
Best night of sleep i got was a few weeks ago when i smoked some pot, it was great.
I find i get the best sleep between 4:00 and 5:00 in the morning. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
