I hate little people who throw insults from the safety of the web

Everyone's 10 feet tall on the internet aren't they?
So many people will throw insults at others when they know they can't be touched.
Look at comments on Youtube and in discussion forums too sadly.

Face to face I reckon most of these guys wouldn't say a word.

Grrrr!

Greg

Of course the flip side is those who are of the muscle-bound and ready to rip a head off variety usually like to respond just as you have, dear OP. Life's problems cannot be fixed with a arse whoppin'. If the ole grey matter is used then the conclusion can be drawn that words on a screen are only as meaningful as you let them be.

Hello,

I'm the devils advocate.

Darn funny pictures. Wow, I needed that laugh.

What's more....there ARE a great many people who just get off by singling someone out and acting like an a$$&%@* uTube is a poor place to shop for intelligent conversation.

I would be nice if people used their real names on Internet instead of hiding behind strange user names.

Usernames offer a level of protection that is warranted. There's maybe 8 people in my county with my name and I don't need anyone showing up on my door step unannounced. That said we should all be treating each other with respect as stated in the forum rules.

The internet is possibly one of the greatest tools for equalization. Anyone can post (for the most part), and a majority of the time it is useless. There is nothing to distinguish worthwhile knowledge from some idiot posting nonsense. And the reader is awarded with spending long amounts of time required to sift through all of it.

So, you have people with exceptionally poor communication skills being read by people with exceptionally poor reading skills. Of course offense results. Anonymity and equalization affords ye local idiot to be insulting when he would be otherwise immediately ostracized from any useful place in life.

You could even get my first name from there. I wish Talkbass exposed the real name instead of the login name but some forums have this set differently.
