I have a fever.....what shall I do?

I'm really not well at all. I'm too hot all the time and I feel tired all the time- I spent Sunday and most of today in bed and even then felt lousy.

This has been happening for three days......any idea what I myself can do?


I'm off to the doctors tomorrow....

well, usually if you have a fever you have the chills.
take some otc meds, and hit the doctores tomorrow. Sleep it off, don't start a thread about it...

Brother, if you've had fever for 3 days running, you really need to get your butt to the doctor's or a hospital ASAP.
Internal organs don't like abnormally high temps for prolonged periods of time. Can lead to all kinds of problems...

And this is the problem with ,living where I do.....the nearest hospital is almost 2 miles away and to get there at this time of night I would have to take an (expensive) taxi.

Colleges and Universities in the USA have medical clinics, student health centers or a nurse's office on campus. If your campus has anything like that, go there. Prolonged fevers are dangerous. Some fevers are caused by microorganisms that attack vital organs like the heart, which may cause permanent damage if left untreated. Don't try to tough it out. If you can’t get a ride or taxi, call an ambulance. They will get you there. That’s their job!
