Seriously, these kids nowadays don't know whats good for them.
I was at my friends house for Halloween, watching the game, it was nice to see that they had about 25 kids come by (there were 100's of us when i was growing up, but ok...)
No one wanted butterfinger... At the end of the day, all that was left was babyruth, butterfinger and few other chocolate bars...
Growing up, those are the candy bars you went after, what is wrong with society nowadays... Butterfinger is amazing!

I learned this lesson way back when I lived in my first house after college and kids started trick-or-treating at my door: NEVER LET THEM CHOOSE THEIR CANDY! You give them their candy.
And if they don't like it let them toilet paper your house. And then if they toilet paper your house you have carte blanche to rain all manner of whoopass on their punk heads. |

Still left with feeling of disappointment.

I definitely don't like Baby Ruths though. So, I think you and I would have gotten along swimmingly. I'm all about the skittles, starbursts, sour crap, bottlecaps, spree, twizzlers, nerds, gobstopers, and tootsie pops though. Chocolate that I like is milky way, three musketeers, M&M's, snickers, and generally anything that doesn't mix salty peanut butter with chocolate. But with that said, I don't eat a lot of it. I don't dig it that much. |

I don't care for the baby Ruth or Payday for that matter, but I love salty things in chocolate. Chili pepper is really good in chocolate too.
I betcha chocolate covered flamin hot cheeto's would be awesome!!!! I gotta look into that!

Chocolate, chili peppers and cheeze? Might be something to it.
Or maybe a chocolate dipped jalapeno? |

If I can't find a way to have my whole family not be home on Halloween, at least I try and have something to do that keeps me away and let the wife deal with it.
At least we don't spend any $$ on it. My grandkids bring us candy throughout the year that they don't like or can't eat (chocolate allergy) and we keep it all in a big bucket and that's what the trick or treaters get.

The original formula Butterfingers were my favorite candy bar as a kid. When they changed to the dull brownish shellac they have now, I walked away. I get my peanut butter fix from a Whatchamacallit. |
