That's true.
Since then, I've been spending all my pocket money on food instead. Now I understand why people claimed that people who quit smoking gain weight.
Since I've quit, I gained nearly 10kg's (That's like 20 pounds).
I don't know what to do. I'm actually having a reason now to start smoking again. I don't want to be fat. I don't have time for working out, I'm very busy in the army doing technician-work for the Navy.
Help me.

No need to hit the gym with a trainer (although it's still the optimal way) to lose weight. Make your heart pump a few times per week with some sport. Not only will it gradually speed up your metabolism, it will also make your brain healthier.
It takes a kick to the butt in the morning, but the result is well worth it.

I have also gained roughly 20 pounds in that time frame. However, I do attribute the weight gain, not to quitting smoking, but to the baggage that was my ex wife. In 2 years Ive had about 5 smokes, maybe.

I really need to take a kick in the butt. I can always wake up an hour earlier to workout. It's kind of complicated because of my situation in the army (I won't always be able to get into the shower... :/), but I'll try to find a way around it.

Buy a bicycle and ride/commute for an hour a day. It's lots of fun and burns off the fat.

Find a little bit of time for some good cardio and try and stop spending your ex-cigarette money on food.
