Awww.. poor thing..
Soups are good. What kind of soups do you like? You should go for creamy ones that wont have big lumps of meat or veggies in them. (Cream of Mushroom, New England Clam Chowder..and so on)

I despise mushrooms and I'm allergic to shellfish, but I 'll see what I can find. Lol.
Thanks. ^_^

Also, will check out the other suggestions. Gonna go to the store in a minute here.

With fast foods it's the "coming out" that would worry me...

How about just some broth? Some chicken soup broth does wonders for me.

Oh, that's a good idea. Taco Bell is around the corner. Though I don't particularly like them, that sounds pretty tasty for once. ^_^
Thanks!

I hear a lot of people say they dont like taco bell, but I find it pretty tasty. Not that the food is amazing or anything, but I wouldnt expect that when I just want to eat lunch for $2.

My favorite - Beefy 5 Layer Burrito, beans instead of meat. Delish!

So, at your wedding "Chicken or Beef?" will refer to the #5?

Strep throat, yuck. I always went with warm (not hot) tea and then warm oatmeal. I load my oatmeal with eggs for protein as I eat 6 times a day so I can't let a sore throat slow me down.

Homemade matzo ball soup made with chicken broth is always nice... I also like strong mint tea... Avoid stuff that leaves grainy residue, like stuff with tomato sauce or potatoes... I would advise AGAINST cream-based soups too. Stick with clearer broth-based soups.

I haven't had a throat infection in a couple years, but I remember actually liking stuff that would scratch or burn it, like carbonated beverages, toast, etc. And a Mango-a-go-go from Jamba Juice was often soothing...

I also discovered that clove oil would help numb the pain... You can get some sold as "Red Cross Toothache Medicine" at your local drug store... You just soak the tip of a cotton swab in the stuff and then apply it to the inflamed spots in your throat... It burns for a bit but then gets mercifully numb! All those throat sprays never work well (they can actually aggravate/lengthen your symptoms); even Cepacol might numb it at first but very soon it stops having any real effect for more than a couple minutes. But clove oil has never failed me.

At a gig I played last friday they had a mediterranean catering truck. The gig organizer gave us all a coupon for a free pita. I almost considered having them cater our wedding!

Being vegetarian, meat eaters will be lucky theres any meat served at all! My fiancee wanted to have all vegetarian and vegan food served, as vengeance for every wedding she's had to go to that didnt cater to vegetarians. I suggested maybe we should have one meat dish. She didnt want to do it, until she saw the proposed guestlist and that only about a 3rd of the people will be vegetarian.

Milkshakes! Gives you enough calories, goes down easily, AND numbs your throat through the cold! And they're delicious

Okay.. so... Note to self: going through a drive-thru with a very sore throat is not a good idea. I could barely speak and that was difficult. Lol.
I couldn't eat it when I got it. I forgot that it's not the taste of Taco Bell that puts me off, but the look. That was super greasy and gross. I ended up only eating a small soft-shell taco and smoking a cig. Lol.
