I haven't felt that scared watching a movie since "The Exorcist"

In Spanish, so non-Spanish speakers must find a copy with English subtitles. There's an American remake, but I'm not interested in that version just because one reason: The plot is not the real scary part of the movie since such kind of story has been told many times before. It is the treatment. I don't think it can be done any better. The way the events unfold really scared the crap out of me.

I'm not trying to say that it's the best horror movie ever or something like that. Many people don't like movies with shaky cameras and the plot isn't a novelty. Anyway I want to invite you to see it, but try to get the original version. Again, I don't think it can be done any better. This, along with "The Exorcist", is now at the top of my list of the scariest movies ever made.

Here's the trailer. "Run. Escape. Survive. But never stop recording".

Yup! Me and my friends are big fans of that movie. I've seen it twice. The ending scene made me afraid of corners and doorways for a couple of days! One of the best horror movies i've seen.

Hmm. I go to a school that's big on film, perhaps our library has a copy. I'll definitely check it out.

My favorite horror movie of recent memory was Audition.

Oh, so it's the original Quarantine.

Do those who have seen both enjoy Rec or Quarantine more? I Kinda liked Quarantine, it had a VERY good first half or so, then it just sorta... lost steam.

Cool. I just requested it from the lieberry.

Speaking of quality Spanish horror movies, have you seen The Orphanage? Is it any good?

It was on a couple days ago. Great suspense type. Loved it. Then The Mist came on right after. Was a good afternoon.

[REC] was fantastic. One of my favorite movies to watch. There's a trailer for [REC]2 floating around. Check it out. I can't wait to see that movie.

I avoided seeing Quarantine simply because I'm tired of watered down American remakes of foreign horror films. Sadly, I'm certain that the eventual remakers (I'm not sure that's even a word) of Quarantine 2 are already licking their chops.

I happened to enjoy The Orphanage. I found a few discrepancies in the story but overall I was entertained by a fresh look at haunted houses coupled with child-parent issues.

Audition was also a fantastic movie!

I've seen both REC. and Quarantine. Quarantine really isn't far from the original. I liked the slightly grainier look in REC more, and I liked some of the effects in Quarantine more (dude standing up with the broken foot? man...). Both are enjoyable.

I knew you'd mention [REC]. That movie was wonderful. I can't wait for [REC] 2 to come out

I've seen [REC], I enjoyed it a lot. Haven't seen Quarantine but I don't really need to.

There is a new film called Paranormal Activity that is supposed be very scary... I really want to see it...

I saw Quarantine and liked it overall. First time in a long time that an Americanized version of a foreign horror film, let alone an American horror film in general, didn't turn into a pile of over the top, special fx driven crap at the expense of a good story line. I could easily sit and watch the original Spanish version.

Quarantine ****ed me off. Everyone acted just plain stupidly when what was going on became clear. I mean seriously "Let's leave this person that's highly infectious and pretty much dead just chained to the railing. Let's not use our weapons and make sure its dead or anything." If the characters weren't such idiots I might have liked it more.
