I just caught some kids doing needle drugs in my parking spot

So, i was enjoying listening to my remastered beatles abbey road, when my roommate came and got me and told me there are kids shooting up behind out house, where our parking spots are. I go outside, 3rd floor, so we are looking down on the culprits, and lo and behold, there is a car there. It is a relatively nice car, and inside are a group of thuggish white kids, with the light on tying their arms off. (probably from the suburbs)?

Now, i dont care that they are doing drugs, i just dont want that **** near my house. What would you do in this situation? I dont wana really call the cops because, i just dont feel like getting involved or having my house be a potential place for retaliation if they suspect i called the 5-0.

but seriously, you should probably call the cops and if they threaten you, get a restraining order. but seeing as they're junkies, i dont really know. there's no common sense involved with junkies.

If they didnt see you call the cops man F them. I could care less about people getting high smoking weed or something , heck most people have smoked weed at some point. Shooting up is another thing though, what if they OD right out there.

You've got 3 choices: Do nothing,
Confront them and possibly get into a legal hassle or whatever,
Call the Cops.

You can call in anon. Since you live in an apartment, I'd not think it would be wise to confront yourself.

I mean, if they were doing it on my property, which I own, they would learn the hard way.

But since the property belongs to someone else, I'd just let the Police deal with it.

I have some cop friends here in town and with The Sheriffs office.
They're all good guys and glad to bust someone doing that stuff.

They have no right to do that on someone else's property. If you call in on them, they deserve what they get.

hmm... thats pretty nutty. as a former user, ive seen people doing it in some pretty public places, some ghetto (downtown la), and some quite nice (on the sidewalk in newport beach). theyre in a bad place in life, but in an even worse place to use.

so... heres a couple ideas i have. the anonymous police call is great, especially if you do it while theyre there. if its a repeat thing, you need to make sure they get busted right there. im assuming youre in an apartment building, so how are they going to know who called them? are they going to vandalize everything there? are they going to do anything violent to everyone there? i really doubt that. calling the police when theyre gone is okay i guess, but itll get them to pass by occasionally at best. police can get no knock warrants off of just one phone call, regardless of legitimacy (at least in ca).

again, im assuming youre in an apartment complex of some sort. notify them. who knows, maybe they will hire a security guard. i dont know, maybe not, but it is certainly worth letting the people you pay know that you have issues with your living area.

i like the chainsaw idea too, especially if you have some sort of mask (both for scariness and anonymity), but make sure you do it while the driver is digging around to find a vein. thatll really set things off. buy a pair of air tasers too.

you could also just casually walk by, and head to your car (and really leave, so you look like youre just going somewhere, and not trying to scare them off). make sure you pass by their car, and make sure you look in, and make sure they know you caught an eyeful of what theyre doing. if that happened to me when i was doing that, id be out of there and paranoid immediately. thats the riskiest, but most immediate way for them to get out of there.

Don't tell them anything or chase them off... You won't wanna feel even partially responsible if they take off and kill someone out there on the road. (Not that you would be... but guilt is a mutha-effer, especially when someone becomes crippled/killed) IMHO, the best thing to do is call the cops and catch 'em & the vehicles tag # on camera if you can (even via cellphone cam). This way even if they bail before the cops arrive, a trespass warning can still be issued and they'll know that if they try to come back and make your place a shooting gallery they'll most likely be arrested just for being there.

Call the cops, get their asses out of your area and be done with it, I highly doubt one of them is going to end up becoming Anthony Keidis or David Bowie but if they do then at least you might end up in an autobiography someday.

heres the problem I see, I could care less if the dumbasses OD but junkie types are usually in need of money for more drugs and they'll pretty much steal anything they can get thier hands on. If you value your stuff should probably call the cops just so they think twice about doin that **** around your place.

Reminds me of living in a seedier part of Toronto and coming home at 3am to find the local crackheads had set up our patio furniture and proceeded to get high and chill on our front porch.

Or the time they threatened my roommate with a spray bottle full of bleach.

Or the time they set up a spot to choke the chicken behind some bushes by our neighbours door.

I'm glad I moved.

Oh yeah, I hope you called the cops.
