Charles Edward Griffiths, Jr., 75, of Hamilton, died Thursday at RWJUH at Hamilton.

Charles "Chuck", and also known to his family as Sonny, was a lifelong resident of the Trenton area.

Charles graduated from Trenton Central High School and received his associate degree in Engineering from Temple University. He was an employee of MJM Industries. He served in the US Navy reserve and his full time service began after the Korean War.

Son of the late Charles E. Sr. and Harriet Ellen (Gregory) Griffiths, he is also predeceased by his sister, Harriet Ellen Gaskill and his foster brother, Joseph W. Chamberlain, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 22 years, Alice Marie; his beloved children, Debbie Ristow and her husband Jay, Brian Griffiths and his wife Donna, Donna Finley and her husband Raven; two step-daughters, Anita McGowan and her husband Robert, Bonnie Vick; was proud grandfather of Brandon, Jessica, Jaclyn, Matthew, Kevin, Marisa, Erica, Joseph, Nicole, Jacob, Meghan, Maura, Shane and Zachary; was loving brother to Robert Griffiths; and fondly thought of his nieces and nephews.

i only had a few conversations with the man in my lifetime because of the distance, but i am still saddened to hear of his passing. my deepest condolences to my aunt.

RIP Uncle Chuck.
