and I haven't been sickened in a while...paedophiles, assault, child pornography and basic idiocy where right are concerned aka racism, anti-equal rights and animal rights are what sicken me, and it was the latter that sickened me.
I didn't realise america, a modern superpower could still condone animal crulety and consider it...a GREAT american tradition, there may be some upsetting images and the sort on the link, www.RodeoCruelty.com to be honest in my personal opinion, I do not feel that using animals in this manner for ENTERTAINMENT.
I feel that it's inhumane and unjust, I appologise if this causes any upset or unhappy feelings...aka anger, towards my person.
if this thread is against the rules lock/delete to your whim, and I am not suggesting donations or anything for the organisation, I'm just putting this out there as I know this seems to be a majority american board, I appologise again if this is a thread that needs blocking.

-America is usually targeted for anything negative, overblown or sensationalist these days as America-hate is in fashion, so it's best to do some research before believing a single source. This website, while maybe containing a smidgen of truth here and there, is mostly ridiculous and vastly over-blown.
- rodeos generally are not barbaric bloodfests
- bullfighting and such are also pretty creepy and not a product of the US, more so the Spanish speaking countries, why not include them as well for fairness?

Whilst I have not doubt that there are arguments to be made against the sports that some Western countries watch and the way in which animals participate, in the scheme of "cruelty to animnals", there are far more pressing targets than the US out there in the "modern" world.

It is rather stereo typical to say that because one group does something, America as a whole condones it. |

| | | | I'm American, never have seen a rodeo and never will. While yes I believe there are some rodeos that are cruel to animals (far too many f***s that don't care about animals in this world) I doubt the majority are.
Like has been said bullfighting is much worse. |

Rodeo's, while I will agree are cruel, are nothing on the level of other things, such as bullfighting and foxhunting. What about the circus? Ever been to one? You can bet in the majority of cases those animals aren't treated well either.
Real cruelty? Look at baseball, what they do to those poor poor tree's

As a species, we all kinda suck.

you obviously dont realize how much money ranchers spend raising and caring for these bulls, horses, and calves. they are payed very nice sums of money for a good performing animal and most of the ranchers care about there animals quite a bit.. (i mean u care about ur money too i'm sure). i'm not gonna tell you they have never been cruel to these animals i'm sure they have. i'm not gonna tell you they are so noble that they care about these animals lives and not the money they are making.. but if an animal is injured or killed it cant make them any money so obviously they dont want that to happen..
you should get all ur ducks in a row before you count them |

Fawn, it's what's for dinner.
