I remember doing it in high school during the winter when I'd deliver papers. I'd come home from swim practice, nap and wake up to see it was 6:30, then run to get changed and get upstairs to deliver my papers before I was really late. My parents would usually just be sitting at the kitchen table staring strangely at me.

I've had that happen before, but I've assumed it was said time for like half an hour before I'd make myself go check for sure.

I work at night, so I have to take naps in the afternoons. Up at 9am, go about my day, go to sleep at 4pm, wake up at 8, go to the gig, fall asleep at 4 or 5 am, repeat.

I once did that- went to sleep at 7.30pm and before I knew it was 6.30 the next morning.

I worked night shift at a grocery store for two years. Your sleep schedule is never quite "right," no matter how hard you try.

had that happen a few times... really tired at the end of the day so you go home and crash in your bed and wake up at around 8 pm and go "oh S#~% i'm late for school." you then procede to change clothes run down stairs with your backpack only to see your parents staring strangely at you handing you a bowl of soup... at that point your mind explodes and when it comes back together you realize its not 8am

I love that.

Except when I get up and get ready for work and everything, and get outside to my car only to notice that the sun is in the wrong part of the sky, then I feel pretty dumb and just go back to sleep

One time in grade 10 I took a nap afterschool. I woke up around 8:45PM on the same night thinking it was 8:45AM the next morning because it was winter so night and day looked the same (READ: Dark as night) so I panicked, got ready, rushed by my parents who were sitting at the dining room table (lovely people who were very amused and didn't bother enlightening me) and headed out the door. Took a few steps and then walked back.

One time after I got back from a trip to the US (I'm in the UK) I been back about a 4 days and thought I bodyclock had adjusted - I went to bed at 11PM as usual. The next "morning" I looked at the clock and saw it was 5. Normally I'd feel pretty out of it that early, but I felt strangely rested... It was 5PM!!! I'd slept straight through.

I lived alone at the time, and spent ages checking TV and stuff to convince myself I'd slept for 18 hours.

I HATE falling asleep and then waking up thinking you had just closed your eyes for a second.

One time I was on my laptop doing some work at about 11pm and I was lying on my bed. Closed my eyes for what I thought would be a short rest, next thing I know its 4am and had work in 3 hours

geez, the worst is in the winter. i have to be up for work at 4am, and since it gets dark around that time in the winter, i'm always waking up in a panic.
