In the 2009 version of the annual "What are they frying at the Texas State Fair?" I think we have hit a new low:

Deep Fried Butter & Pork Chips

Fried dough with butter on the inside instead of outside is pure genious, especially on a stick. Fried dough is traditional fair food. Yummy! Not something I would eat on a regular basis, but good for a change of pace.

Deep fried battered pork chips? What's wrong with that? Nothing! Absolutely nothing, especially with BBQ sauce!

one thanksgiving after deep frying a turkey, we got curious and threw a twinkie in...

it was ok...tasted like funnel cake

it was after the fact that we learned you were supposed to dip them in some kinda of batter before throwing them in.

too much prep for me.

Living gets boring after a while. I understand why some folks want to cut back on it. And if they don't quite make it, they can always blame someone else for being morbidly obese and unhealthy - it's a win-win, really!

Xtreo.....let us kindly stick to the topic or we'll have to discuss your post's grammatical mistake.

Good? Good... and now we return you to your regularly scheduled thread on battered arteries and do-nutz.

Deep fry them, not soak it in lye.
