...but who really feels the need to steal front license plate bolts? Happened while parked on the street in front of my buddy's .

But they left the plate at least

Here's a new mount for now, it's actually kinda fun to scrape it everywhere

I have not done it yet. But I really wont to break into a house and steal something of not much importance. Like a living room door.

When the people come home, see the breaking and entering... walking back and forth into the living room: "what did they take? Just what the hell did they take?"

Imagine how long it would take them to find out. And then once they did they would be oh so perplexed...

"Why in the hell would anyone want to take a living room door?"

yeah, I think it's a form of psychological warfare. Actually pretty damn clever when you think about it...

how do you know they were stolen? Maybe they just came loose and fell off? do you have proof? I mean, it would seem unreasonable to me if i found my license plate on the street to assume that the bolts were stolen

Or did i miss the part where you caught the guy in the act?

I'd assume if the bolts fell off, and the license plate was on the ground right where his car was parked, that the bolts would also be on the ground nearby.

Well, I bolted those plates on in August, and I put them them in tight enough. Plus they were rusty enough, so they would sooner seize themselves than come loose and fall out.

And also I know that they were both there and not coming out 2 days ago, because I had to add oil, and I happened to take a good look at them to retrieve a piece of skin that one of them took from my leg, lol.

No I didn't catch the guy in the act. But I'm more than 99% certain that they didn't come out themselves, while parked, and the plate ends on the ground up a foot and a half to the right from where it used to be

Have you found replacement bolts? Just pass on the favor. Make it a theme. Buy a hyunda and join the community of bolt stealers. You could invent a new bolt that only comes out with a key and make millions....Ah, just a crime of opportunity! Look for cars like yours, scrap for DNA so you can test when you see one

They don't have auto parts stores where you live? Bolts are cheap... on the other hand, if you're having fun...
