Yeah, I've seen that too. Makes ya wonder how hard those times really are.

I have a buddy who got laid off a few months ago, and his unemployment benefits just ran out. He was crying to me how him and his wife have to eat top ramen and potatos now. Just the other day I see him at the store. He was coming from picking up his dog from getting it's hair cut.

I suspect you misunderstood your buddy. He is eating top ramen and potatoes...

...because his wife still insists the dog needs a haircut.

Those would confuse me seeing is how if you need to make money why are you willing to trade for something of equal value?....you still have no cash ???

I'm just happy the economy in Newfoundland is good!

It's actually wise to accept trades if you need the money if the item you're trying to sell is not a hot ticket. You can get closer to the value you're looking for in trades this way, and then sell the more popular items you traded for for a better profit.
