I have a phone interview for a job with a pharmaceutical company in upstate New York (Rouses Point, NY) coming up soon. If hired, I'll be moving in two to three weeks. If anyone is familiar with the area please share any info that you have.

I'm originally from Massachusetts and I still recall what cold weather is like. I also spent a winter in Loring, ME with 3-feet of snow and sub zero temps. Quote:

Well, you'll be quite close to Montreal, which is a fun weekend spot if you're looking for somewhere to go. You are also quite close to one of the most beautiful parks/mountain ranges in the United States. You're along Lake Champlain, which has some very beautiful parts.
You'll love it!

As long as you're ready for the cold (and it sounds like you are), then I think you'll love it. I would love to live up there myself.
