So if you have seen the thread about my bass being stolen you know what is up.
I found the kid who stole it, I have his name, phone #, age (20), picture, pictures of my bass in his bedroom, his High School and the year of his graduation. I am now a "friend" on his Myspace acct as well.
All I need is his address.
The cops in town aren't doing anything. The detectives here are notorious for not doing anything at all regarding solving crimes. I have all but handed this kid to them and the detective would not even see me (he was in his office but just told the clerk to "take a report") All they need to do is run his name and get an address.
the Community Service Officer was really nice though. She said if I get his address to call her and she would dispatch and officer there ASAP.
How do I find a kids address online?

Being around that age, it might be hard to pin him down to one address...I've had 7 different addresses since I was 18 due to college/family moving...
Good luck man...if I were in Cali, I'd volunteer to help with the smackdown |

My dad used to hunt people down for the Texas state government, so I learned a few simple things from him. PM me his info and I will start my own hunt as well.
Also, does he use his ISP's email address? If so, you could have the Community Service Officer contact his ISP and they can track him down via IP addy.
Or if the kid is trying to sell the instrument, you could ask to take a look at it personally. Then just call the cops on him.
Peace,
Greg

Seriously though, the big key is making sure you've got all the proof you can that you bought that bass. Especially since (I think) you said you bought it second hand here on TB. I'd contact the original owner and maybe even make a call to Chris so he can verify who had it built. Make sure all your ducks are in a row so (1) you get your bass back and (2) this punk gets what's coming to him. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
