I need a good side dish for cheese tortellini with vegetables.
Seeing as the pasta isn't heavy on flavor I don't want the side to be overpowering. And it has to be vegetarian friendly.

Thanks in advance!

Steamed artichoke. Nice mild taste and wonderful texture with perhaps some melted butter for dipping. I stuff bits of basil and garlic down in the leaves when I steam mine.

That or maybe some sauteed spinach.

Asparagus with Alfredo, or
Toasted French bread with pesto, heavy on the garlic...
or grilled Portabello mushrooms With just a little Worcestershire, garlic and some good olive oil, if you want something a little more earthy.

What are they filled with?

you've already got the Pasta and veggie thing going... I'd just add a nice crusty bread and something to dip it in... like a Balsamic Vinaigrette
