I need a job because I need money but I got long hair so it's hard to get hired. Anybody with long hair got any job suggestions?

???? I have tattoo sleeves and a 5/8 inch plugs in my ears and I've found work. I'm thinking it's not your hair, but maybe the way you act in interviews.

As long as you're cleaned up and the hair isn't in the way it shouldn't be a problem. Wear a hat to the interview. It's probably for reasons other than your hair that you are unemployed.

Well tell me some jobs where long hair isn't a problem because it's always against their grooming policies

Pretty much anywhere. If a woman with long hair can be hired, so can a man. If they tell you otherwise, they're just don't want you. Dress codes will be as such: "Any long hair *must* be tied back" or hairnets will be manditory.

Well,we already know that's Hell to the muthafunkin NO!...so might I suggest:

Dishwasher
Custodial Engineer
Hot Pocket taste tester

I dunno man, I am just joking there, but it's more in how you carry yourself and present yourself in the interview than the long hair. Good luck in the search.

Why can't you get a haircut?
Employment comes before physical appearance preferences in my book.

Whatever you have to do to put the food on the table is what has to be done.
You're not being asked to compromise your beliefs, you're not being asked to do some humiliating and degrading job, you're not being asked to reinvent the wheel, all you are being asked to do is simply cut your hair to gain employment.

This comment tells me everything I need to know about hiring you. Sounds like you have an attitude problem, fix your attitude and maybe you can find a job.

I would refrain form hiring you because of your talkbass signature.

you can look however you want in college, and now is a fantastic time to be a student. bad job market, low interest rates on students loans, etc etc.

My advice to you is to stay away from fast-moving industrial machinery.

Is there a Costco/Sam's Club near you? If you don't mind morning shifts, you could probably get on in the merchandising (merch) departments as a stocker. I did it for 6 years with Costco, all part time and when I left, I was making $19.72/hr.

And they'll be looking right now to hire seasonal staff for Christmas. Go and fill out an application. The coin is worth it.

Jobs I've gotten with long hair: gas station attendant, cook, accountant at construction company, geologist at two companies, and bassist at a Lutheran Church. Others have mentioned it...it probably has nothing to do with your hair.
