I need a job because I need money but I got long hair so it's hard to get hired. Anybody with long hair got any job suggestions?

If they tell you otherwise, they're just don't want you. Dress codes will be as such: "Any long hair *must* be tied back" or hairnets will be manditory.

I dunno man, I am just joking there, but it's more in how you carry yourself and present yourself in the interview than the long hair. Good luck in the search.

Employment comes before physical appearance preferences in my book.
Whatever you have to do to put the food on the table is what has to be done.
You're not being asked to compromise your beliefs, you're not being asked to do some humiliating and degrading job, you're not being asked to reinvent the wheel, all you are being asked to do is simply cut your hair to gain employment. |

you can look however you want in college, and now is a fantastic time to be a student. bad job market, low interest rates on students loans, etc etc.

Is there a Costco/Sam's Club near you? If you don't mind morning shifts, you could probably get on in the merchandising (merch) departments as a stocker. I did it for 6 years with Costco, all part time and when I left, I was making $19.72/hr.
And they'll be looking right now to hire seasonal staff for Christmas. Go and fill out an application. The coin is worth it. |

Others have mentioned it...it probably has nothing to do with your hair.
