Before I make a cultural mess of my next illustration, I'd like to know if this is the appropriate traditional Chinese symbol for "loneliness".
Thanks in advance
It's a deadline-heavy week for me, so jokes are welcome too.

Didn't you know you can meet people in your area and get action *tonight*?

Keep in mind that in Mandarin, most actual spoken words are made up of two or more characters, generally both meaning generally the same thing.
寂寞 is one way. I don't know the pronunciation, dunno the characters, but that's a quick babelfish look. Once I find my 汉英字典 I'll give you more.

This is my favorite, from an artistic point of view. It's more poetic. Loosely translated, ou2ying3, means loneliness by indicating that a person has only his own shadow. It's brilliant and makes a lot of sense in characters.
Your gu1 calligraphy is nice though.

I was thinking of this word rather than the gu1 which he uses, since (i think) gu1 has many other meanings as well. gu1dan1 will be good as well.
EDIT: Oh, and if you notice, the last stroke comes from the horizontal bar, rather than the second vertical, at least in simplified chinese.

I'll stick with this one, especially since my basic composition is aimed towards a North American audience, meaning the symbol is a second-level interpretation.
