I wouldn't worry too much. The panel can tell the difference between mistakes made from nerves and mistakes made from lack of preparation.

Keep practicing.

Just remember, it's moments like those that force you to be a better player...

Either that or you give up.

Dude, we have all bombed juries before.

One of my old roommates after taking his Jr qualifying jury had the department chair sit down with him and say, "Eric, you are good with computers right? You know we have a GREAT Computer Science Dept here on campus......."

Ouch!!!!

It could always be worse.

You're a bass player. That's a good thing.

my jury was for trombone, but yeah it is a good thing for a bassist to be a team player.

Take it as a good thing, it is better to do the things the wrong way in that place that out in the real world, just enjoy that there's someone actually listening to you with a good bunch of stuff to tell you about your playing.

You have to remember that the panel's job is to critique you, and for some panels that means only pointing out the mistakes and giving out very little on the compliment side of things. Sounds like you know that it could have been a lot better, though, so take the beat-down and use it to improve ...

Personally, I'd much rather know where the problem areas are than have some panel blowing smoke up my *ss ....
