I quit using tobacco

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey folks.

Im 24, and have been using tobacco in the form of Skoal/Copenhagen since the age of 15.

I have not had a dip since January 1. Im very proud of myself, but must admit that while there are tough moments when quitting, its been easier than I thought it would be.

Right on, amigo.
Your body will thank you down the road, and likely so will several girlfriends.

Good to quit while you're ahead. I know 2 guys who have developed pre- cancerous lesions after a few years of heavy dipping. Neither has been able to kick the habit.

I got over my dipping days quick- something about puking my guts out just turned me off the stuff.

My mother became sick with emphysema at 37 from smoking. I'm sure Dip is really bad also. Congratulations, I hope we can support you.

Congrats on kicking the habit!

My brother dipped and my family all got together and got him to stop by giving him a big present, but he started again in a few years ...

He used to refer to it as his "candy" and when I was 3, I ate it and threw up all over myself.
