I sold the bass and got half of the expected money

I would like to warn everibody in this forum about selling something to this user:

I sold the bass described in the 3d

7-String Sandberg Bullet Sale

I sent the bass before receiving any money, on trust, and received just half of the money.

After a lot of mails, I offered to resend him the money and receive the bass back: nothing.

It's all documented: wire transfers via PayPal, mails and everything.
He's a thief.
Stop.

have you tried Bass Gear Magazine ?
he's the publisher , and maybe you could contact him there .
hopefully this is just a mistake , and he'll make good on your sale .

Why did you wait over a year to report this?

Ask a site admin to look into this situation... if they would.
I don't know what the policy is on deals gone wrong in the classifieds.
(All at own risk, I assume.)

Just curious... what was the agreed selling price?
I ask because in your "for sale" thread, you initially state a price of $2180, but then a few posts later, you lower the price to 1200 Euro (~ $1767). Perhaps there was confusion over the price?

That's my story.
All documented and stored.
PayPal traced.

I can support each and every word I wrote.
I waited all this time just to give not one, 2 chances to that person, but a full year.

Nothing.
Then I decided to post the thing.

EDIT ONE: No idea on policies.
EDIT TWO: Papazita, there are several mails on this subject. And I fixed also the exchange rate to avoid him any additional burden in case of higher rates.

I believe the appropriate course of action is to contact one of the forum admins and discuss the issue with them.

Looking at his profile, he was on here yeaterday. Also, Tom Bowlus, username Tombowlus is the editor of that magazine and Tom is on here all the time. Maybe see if he can help??

we do not allow this kind of thing in the forums. that being said, we (Admins) do try to rectify these situations as much as we can.
