Until some of you folks can come up with some new ideas. I mean really. Parody threads? Talk about scraping the barrel.

Let the flames fly, may they lick my ample butt cheeks...it would be infinitely more interesting, and in my masochistic way, much more satisfying than all these bad parody threads.

It was funny when Nino started it, not so much when everyone else appropriated it.

Flame away! Wheee!

I have a feeling that soon a "I suggest we hit the 'play' button in OT" thread will pop up

I've got half a mind to go and parody this thread

I agree 100% but consider that 99% of the time, the parody thread is much more interesting and entertaining than the originals that Nino and others Tee'ed off on. I guess that shows how bad it's really getting

I'll be back after the Blade Show and my MS vacation, second or third week of June. I gotta put my nose to the grindstone anyway. Maybe by then the school kids will be out in full force and improve the content of OT

I think that's like hoping giant swarms of mosquitoes will reduce outbreaks of malaria.

And I agree with this sentiment entirely.

I guess what bothers me is (to make an analogy)

it's like when you buy a loved one a special gift(s) often to start a collection, and that is "your thing" to that person,

then everyone else gets that person similar, but not quite as good gifts, and rip you off because they're too lazy to think of their own special gift...diluting the specialness

I dunno, does that make sense? It's not a personal attack, and not saying the copycats aren't funny or anything, it just gets old when every other thread is a parody or pun thread...

I agree they are getting quite old and less than 10% are close to being funny. That being said, I'll start a thread about hitting the "play" button in OT.

Dang, someone beat me too it. How about the eject button instead?

Totally agree, dude. It's like all the incredibly dumb pseudo-clubs that popped up (i.e. string spacing ).

The problem (IMO) is a bunch of noobs on here that see other people do stuff and try to 'fit in', like our boy Meev, with the Qintar debacle.

Seems to me there's now a disproportionate ratio of non-subribers to subscribers. Instead of subsribing and giving paul twenty bucks, people try to "contribute" instead in the manner you talk about.

I've had 5 or 6 pints.

Yeah, I really don't either, but it made sense as I was snacking on some peanut butter ice cream...

You know, flames rise, get higher...aw forget it...all these parody threads still suck.
