I guess it depends on the driver. The guy who comes to my office is awesome.

Years ago when I was able to afford equipment, I sometimes would take a day off (switch)to wait for my Bass or amplifier. I was only once disappointed by UPS. They delivered a Hartke 4-10 that was smashed up pretty good. So I got an Ampeg instead.

Sorry you missed your package.....there has also been a time or two that has happened, but all in all....UPS has been consistent in my experience.

So, yesterday Im upstairs at home using the john and I think I hear a knock at the door. I wasnt expecting anyone, and I hadnt bought anything online, so I figured maybe someone stopped by for a pop-up. I finished up and went downstairs and.... no one there. Maybe it was next door? We share a wall, and I hear them inside sometimes, that could have been it.

So, hours later I go out on our patio to take a look at my Jalapenos. What do I find? A pretty large box. It was a BBQ I had put on our wedding registry. I guess they thought no one was home and left it on the patio. Im not sure if it was UPS or FedEx, but Im thinking UPS. Strangely, our patio gate is stuck shut (on purpose), so im wondering how they got it over the fence and onto the ground safely. Or did they just chuck it? It was kinda late, so I'll find out today if anything is broken. The box didnt appear to be damaged, so Im thinking its all good.

I refuse to believe they would do such a thing.

Maybe they attempted delivery at the wrong address?

Exactly. I get a lot of stuff delivered by UPS, and I've come to know the guy on a first name basis. Nice friendly guy, takes good care of my stuff and delivers right to my door at the back of the building, on time, every time.

UPS doesn't knock on the door here either. They just leave the package at your front door.

I have sat on my couch and watched the ups guy walk up to my door, drop a package and walk off. No knock, no doorbell.

The truck announces itself pretty well. Nothing else sounds like it.

No personal experience with ups. The Guy that delivers to my uncle is awesome. He is friendly and talks about projects my uncle is up to. Once I was riding with my uncle and the ups dude was coming the other way, he motioned to stop and handed the package to my uncle right there.

I havent had any problems with receiving delivery from UPS, but they also bust up the packages I send.

However I have had many cases where fedex will pull into my driveway, and stick a "Sorry we missed" on my garage. Even though I've sat at the front door and waited for them to come up. They didn't even bother to come up the sidewalk to the front door.

I have never had that problem, my UPS guy is one of the nicest people I'll ever meet. Once, when I was clearing a spot in a field, he drove down to the field, and got out of the truck, walked to where I was working, and gave my package to me. He even shook my hand, ahd a nice conversation, and told me to have a nice day. THAT is service.

UPS has always worked just fine for me. I live in a tame neighborhood, and they leave my packages in a spot where they can't get rained on.
