Go with a Sector 9. Really you should try them out and see whats most comfortable just like a bass.

Check out Barfoots!

They are a little more expensive than Sector 9's, but the quality is much, much better. I really dig his legends series of decks inspired by classic surfboard shapers (Mine's a Gerry Lopez). Check it out @www.barfoot.com

Sector 9's are really popular around here. I have a pretty damn gigantic board made by LIB Technologies and I love it, it's my main mode of transportation around campus.

Sector 9 is kind of like the Fender of longboarding, in that it's extremely popular.

However, at the time I bought mine I couldn't afford one so I got a Krown. Not as pretty, but it still comes with abec-7s and the trucks are nice. Just need to ditch the wheels.

This was $70 minus the paintjob:

and yes I do look for any opportunity to post my longboard because its awesome.

They're really simple to ride imo my friend has one and while I'm a horrible skateboarder I'm amazing at longboarding

Get a bamboo Sector 9 one, they transfer momentum so well you can just bounce on them and they go, even uphill to a certain extent.
