Sunscreen and a shirt, my man. Think about your future. The more you get burned, the greater your chances of skin cancer down the road.

Having a long family history of cancer + wife who is a physician + knowing that sun exposure is directly correlated with skin cancer = being very cautious myself these days.

yes, I'll have to start wearing sunscreen. A very painful lesson to be sure.

I'm naturally body-hair free for the most part. I don't grow alot of hair anywhere, and I only have to shave maybe once a week.

Hang on to that memory...

...you'll REALLY need it thirty years from now when you are battling the thick bushy hairs flowing from your nose and ears...

Suggestion from someone who works at a beachfront summer resort hotel - moisturizing lotion with aloe in it. Will help keep the itch / burning feeling down, and help heal the skin. I'll admit, with skin cancer on both sides of my family, I tend to not go out in the sun without a hat on, and usually at least a t-shirt and knee-length shorts on... Sometimes I wish our cultural norms / fashioin would go back to thinking lily-white skin (for those of European background, anyway) looks best, instead of heavy tans being considered what you want to look like.

I was talking about your tan line. It was a joke involving your (lack of) short and curlies.

You are young my friend. This will change.

I could not grow a beard until I was a freshmen in college, but it did happen in time. I do not have the fullest of beards compared to some of my friends, but I have accepted my limitations. Some guys can never grow beards at all and just have very patchy facial hair.

for the record, I wasn't attempting to acquire a killer tan in order to schmooze the ladies, I'm not a meat-head . This is simply the byproduct of body-surfing and volleyball. 13 hours of it.

um, I wasn't complaining. Quite the opposite. The lack of a vital necessity to dispose of growth every day cuts my level of inconveniences down considerably. I'll glady take a natural predisposition to hairlessness for as long as my genetic code will give it to me.
