I also say things are daft and say blimey every so often. Also called people ponces now and again, as well as w***** (not sure if I can actually write it as it may offend a Brit or two).
I was raised on Doctor Who, and watch it religiously. Plus, I'm a total Anglophile. So I guess that explains it. That, and the whole Canadian thing...

We use all those non-bracketed words you mentioned (rather than the bracketed ones)
