I think it should be a man law that the testes should not be removed unless for cancer reasons.

Use a condom.

You're thinking of castration. A vasectomy essentially disconnects the plumbing. The nads stay put.

I do...but those aren't error-proof. I just hope my boys are lazy swimmers, like myself.

Probably not, most doctors won't do a vasectomy for someone young or with no kids...............

You might change your mind later.

Usually, when using said product, I don't take the time to read the small print. I usually would read the small print, but, in this case, I'm typically preoccupied with something else...

That's what people keep telling me. I'm pretty firm about this...felt this way since I was 12.

Hmmm...what about standing in front of a microwave? That has to do something...

a large percentage of vasectomies are reversible, so you could probably get one at any time.

I'm all for population control and safe sex and such, but I'm never letting a doctor go near my goods. I think it's just some innate instinct to do anything you can to keep everything a comfortable distance from your goods........except other people's goods.....

Reversible...

Yes, they are usually reversible. I've been told it runs about $2,000, whereas the vasectomy itself is often free(less pregnancies=less insurance costs in general). What's more, vasectomies are very routine, local anasthesia outpatient/drive-through type stuff; reversing it, I've been told, is a much more delicate bit of surgery.

The simple snip and stitch is more easily reversed than

the snip and cautorize(sp). When a Dr. does both it is close to impossible to reverse.

It depends on how it is done, most vasectomies are done with cauterization which is much harder to reverse. Also, while the doc may do it, most insurances are pretty clear on their requirements for a vasectomy (age, children or no, etc)

How old are you?

Just the thought of a vasectomy is enough to make me squirm in my seat.

I'm 24...I have no kids, no diseases, and my stool isn't black.
