Is anyone feeling the love for IE 9 for Windows 7?
Or is this another thing that will begin slowing my machine down with little benefit at this time?
Side note: It's no fun inviting any & every update, we're talking HD memory. (Example: Powerpoint update. Great, except I don't use powerpoint on my laptop. Arrrgh!)

If you're THAT low on harddrive space though (enough to worry about windows updates), you should likely look into adding storage to your computer...
IE9 is a great step up for IE in general. You'll have to use it yourself and see if you like it. |

Although, the percent of memory in use will begin to slow things down, eventually.

Like Ray said, just decline and then hide the updates you don't want. Or better yet, uninstall the apps you don't use. In your case, start with PPT.

This. Until a browser comes out and thoroughly knocks me off my feet I'm solidly in the Firefox camp. Chrome may dethrone it after a few more releases.....for me it's still too buggy/crashy.

I always try their new releases for a little bit, to see if they're worth it, but it's still pretty much crappy. I'm thoroughly in the Iron camp, in fact if it weren't to download flash movies (Read: porn) from the internet, I wouldn't even have Firefox.

| | | | I never care bout IE, as long as it's there no matter what version was installed automatically when installing Windows.
Never think of upgrade it either.
Firefox (and Google...or even Safari) is/are my choice. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
