The combination of these types of activities and living in the US would also make me worry about medical insurance.

Re-think the Grizzly Bear nature walk. They WILL Kill and eat you. The Grizzlies are having a pretty good year thinning the herd of stupid people, so don't be one of them.

Just how the media makes all of the Middle East look like hell, it also makes America look like this.

If you'd live in Amercia you would.....:
Be complaining about gas prices
Be complaining about property taxes
Be complaining about public education
Have to bite your tongue if you disagree with someone but they are of different race, sex, religion, sexual orientation than you...lawsuits are all the rage over here
but more importantly

PULLING FOR THE RAYS!!!!!!yes, I am from Tampa

I always got the impression that gas is cheap in the states and people actually pay less taxes and have less suport from the government. Maybe I am mistaken though.

you think gas prices are bad in the US, try coming here.

also i didn't think civilians were allowed to buy the barrett 50 cal? quite why anyone would need something that can shoot through a concrete wall from a mile away is beyond me...

That's true but everyone's reality is different.

My US is awesome. You can make lots of money and fulfill almost all your dreams if you get the right information/education etc. and you're confident and disciplined enough to apply it consistently.

Yet, I know the US is not without it's faults.

Wow...here I was thinkin how great it would be to live in Oz.

Might want to rethink the 50 cal....they are REALLY expensive to shoot in full auto. Yeah, and like No Malarkey said, the bear walk might turn you in to bear poop. If a griz decides to eat you, you are ate. You have no say in the matter, unless you are hiking with the Barrett, and you better be able to get it into action in a hurry or you are STILL bear poop.

That sounds like a great place to go! (Wherever it is...)

US Route 66 is no longer there... parts of it literally are abandoned, the rest subsumed into state highways between Chicago and LA (my parents used to live near it in Texas).

Grizzlies in Yellowstone? Maybe,,, Try Alaska. Yellowstone has brown bears mostly.

I've seen a Thompson submachine gun at FBI headquarters' museum (a live-fire demo; awesome!), but a museum or a vintage guns meet is about the only place you'll see one now.

You can get an education, but at a huge cost. Then good luck getting a job. Everyone is one major illness or accident away from bankruptcy, even with insurance, because insurance always finds ways not to cover things, and you're left paying 30% of the bill at the end. The legal system is out of control, try being a male and getting divorced. You can be pulled over by the cops for ANYTHING. We spent over 3 trillion dollars on the war on terror, but people are complaining that Obama has ruined our economy.

I really don't want to get started on this! lol.

shhh! Don't destroy the stereotype that we are all overweight gun-crazy and neandrathal. You would disappoint a lot of people all over the world if you were to let on that we're really no different from anyone else.

A few states have banned them, but it's legal at most.

Barrets don't shoot full auto.

There are tens of thousands of Thompsons in civilian circulation.
