Let's stipulate that 3 is 2 and start calculating this way.
Strange results. |

Let a=b.
Then a2=ab
a2+a2=a2+ab
2a2=a2+ab
2a2-2ab=a2+ab-2ab
2a2-2ab=a2-ab
2(a2-ab)=1(a2-ab)
which simplifies to 2=1... first person to point out my mistake gets a cookie

then two steps down, you added 2ab to one side, but subtracted it from the other side. But then again, the next step is written as if it were done correctly. Nothing's making sense..

You added 2ab on one side and subtracted it on the other.

My friend did that yesterday with 4 and 7. We were stuck in a parallel dimension for 4 days (.03 seconds here) but it was awesome because the population was 100% (what i assumed to be) hot chicks.
