Say you were given the opportunity to have any animal you wanted as a pet, no strings attached, for a year. You don't have to pay for anything, but you must keep it for the whole year. Now, that aside, what animal would you choose?
For the record, I know people with:
A Bobcat
A Tiger
A Cayman Alligator (2 people, actually)
A Burmese python (Several, I want one, damn city by-laws)
Several different Tarantula's/Spiders
A Scorpion
A Centipede
And many more less interesting animals. Personally I think having a pet Grizzly Bear would be badass

All the exotic pets have high maintenance requirements, diet issues and other time-consuming problems I don't need. Terriers have lots of personality, aren't too big, and don't shed. What more ya gonna ask?
Dogs are your buddies. That's fine with me.
