It wouldn't affect me one way or the other except I might laugh at myself more, perhaps even trip myself up a little bit just to mess with myself and keep myself humble. When all is said and done, I'd probably by myself a beer and drink it together with myself.

I like knowing what people actually think of me. I see it sort of as an external audit.

Well it can be both. Its good to know what people think about you but sometimes it can be bad and it might make you feel bad if to many people think badly of you

Extremely interesting question....

I guess it would be a bit of both a curse and a blessing.

A) I suppose it would that it may suck to see what people really think of you, especially if they're mad or dislike you. But at the same time you could take that information and try to make changes to yourself that you may not normally think need changing.

B) OTOH, you may see that people really think you have these great qualities, which would be nice, but it may cause and undo boost to your ego. At which point you could become very narcissistic. Then you be back to point "A"

Viscous cycle.

If I had to choose though, I'd say Curse. Sometime you have to abide by the old saying "Ignorance is bliss"

Boy, I'd have to pass on that one.

I think I'm a pretty cool guy. My wife tells me I'm a real @$$hat.

I have no desire to relocate from the state of denial.

Blessing. I could tell myself to loose some lbs... lol

I think heavy meditation can do this, or maybe some pcp.

*disclaimer
DO NOT take PCP or anything illegal like that. It's dangerous.

It's taken me a long time to develop my highly inflated opinion of myself and I wouldn't want to jeopardize it by seeing myself as the egomaniac that others perceive.

I agree with Tplyons.
I like knowing.
Not many people don't like, I have that kind of personality.
But I sure as hell hate a lot of people.

I dunno... I think there's an even amount of people who both like me and totaly completely hate my guts, so it would be interesting to see the reasons why on both sides...

I think it would be horrible at first, you would have an overload of negative realizations about yourself. However, once you cleaned up a bit, it would be great to see the change in reactions.

It would also make hitting on those shy girls much easier!

curse. I would reinforce my vague awareness that I'm a douche, and thus disillusion any fun that I have, locking me in a perpetual cycle of self doubt, denial, and reprisal.

right now I'm content to view myself from my own twisted perspective.
