No regrets is something I live by. And, really, I'm not so sure of the ability TO regret things after death anyway, so it might just be a moot point .

Probably not fixing things between me and my dad. He's been so resistant that I've given up at times.

Otherwise, I have no regrets.

Really none of my business, but I hope that gets patched. Me and my old man really had a streak going for a while. Too similar, my mother would say. It slowly worked itself out without much being said. He nearly died in 2003 (bad heart attack...not that there is a good one) and the reality of his mortality kinda refocused my need to express a few positive things to him.

I tried on several occassions in person but he's not that kinda guy, so I wrote a letter and explored the wonders of the US postal service. One of the best things I ever did.

I have few regrets in the way things have turned out. I've made mistakes, but haven't wasted too much time wishing I had done them differently because I can't rewrite history. Some things you just can't control. I regret the way certain relationships have turned out, some with close family, but there's only so much that can be done. I can't make someone a different person anymore than I can make myself get closer to an individual I just can't relate to, regardless of their relation to me. Maybe this is Tim's issue, and if so, well, ignore my pie in the sky story cause I know the other side, too.

I'm rambling now (thank you, Abita Mardi Gras Bock), but I guess I do regret that innocent bystanders have been caught in the La Brae tar pits of the relationships I skirted above. My wife and kids deserve better, but I can't change people.

My Biggest Regret would be not tapping that Swedish hottie vocal student when I had the chance back at M.I.
