On May 13, 2011 videos that have been uploaded to Google Video will no longer be available for playback. We’ve added a Migrate to YouTube link to the Video Status page, which will allow you to easily migrate your video to a linked YouTube account. In addition, we’ve added a Download link, so you can download any video content you want to save. If you don’t want to download your videos, you don’t need to do anything. (The Migration and Download features will be disabled after May 27, 2011.)
Yes and YouTube has transferred all accounts to Google as well, since they are now one in the same. About a month ago they did away with the normal YouTube login, it's now directly Google login and the tracking that comes with that.

Forgotten emails and passwords are the reason that I record them in a text document (which is updated to new & dated versions/copies as need be) and stored on multiple drives in two different systems plus a portable hard drive.
Here's an article aimed at helping one to create secure yet memorable passwords:
I forgot my password and original email I used to sign up for a youtube account, and I need to regain access to it. Report abuse

I started a youtube account about 3 years ago for my dad's non-profit. We haven't posted anything on it in over 2 years. I can't for the life of me remember the password I used or the email i used to sign up for the account. In fact i feel like I created a new email to use with it and I have no idea what it is. I really want to regain access to this account and update the information so it uses one of my current email addresses and passwords. Also we don't want to lose the name of the youtube channel. Please, I've tried everything i can think of, but this is such a unique case and youtube and google have no live support, is there something I can do to gain access to this account again? I can prove it's our account, in fact I have my own youtube account and all the videos posted on my dad's account all say they are made by me, and my company. All I need is the password restored to me, is there a way this can be done?

This is actually a surprisingly common issue, but the answer is always the same- you need to know either the password OR the email address which would receive the password reset. There are NO alternatives, sorry.
I know I know, I now have a few tricks that I use and no longer forget my password, but my original e-mail address was "destroyed" when at&t bought out sbc global and I no longer had anyway to get back on my old account.
I've been logged out/transfered main computer a few times and I've managed to remember it, but I never thought of recording my password, so thats my bad, but youtube actually straight booted me a few weeks ago by not letting me watch any videos without entering my password and automatically logged me in via my gmail account eventually, and that just ticked me off, I have about a hundred or so favorited videos that I've collected since youtube started up and now they're all gone, and I have to start fresh or go through them one by one and re-favorite them, which is just way too tedious.
