Break fast is the first meal when you wake up. Even if it was just a nap. With my breakfasts, anything goes. But I'll take bacon please.

I disagree, coffee is an acceptable substitute for OJ.

Add coffee, eggs, bacon, hot sausage, toast, fried slices of leftover baked potatoes, fruit, and perhaps smoked salmon on bagels.

Delete the pancakes.

Now you've got breakfast.

I can go either way. I'd love a large breakfast of pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, oj, and whatever else, but in a pinch, I've been known to have as little as just 2 links of sausage for breakfast.

I can't drink orange juice with pancakes, it seems like a waste to me. I put syrup on my pancakes, and the sugar from that tends to drown out the taste of the OJ.

I'm vegetarian, so I'll pass on the sausage.

2 pancakes slathered in butter and syrup, 2 slices of texas toast with raspberry jam, grilled home fries, as many slices of bacon as you can possibly fit on the plate with the rest of the food, a small glass of OJ and a large glass of water.

Every morning for me, or at least when I have the time and am not feeling lazy.

Best touring breakfast ever,

1. Lots of black coffee
2. Biscuits and gravy
3. Eggs over easy
4. Sourdough Toast

and the secret ingredient......

5. Lots and Lots of Tabasco Sauce!!!!

Save the toast until the end and sop up all the gravy/eggs yolk/Tabasco.

It'll cure what ails ya on a long tour!!!!!!!

Hm I can do just pancakes for breakfast, needs honey though, none of this maple nonsense :P. Really though for breakfast I tend to stick towards sweet sticky rice, some cut up citrus fruit or berries, along those lines, and some lightly seasoned tofu. Not exactly vegetarian, just hard for me to take on meat so early, basically I don't want to spend 30 minutes on the can before starting my day.

Gimme that Bacon!!

Bacon is great with pancakes and syrup.

Dip that bacon in the syrup, you can't go wrong!

We get the good stuff up here in NH and VT. My high school had it's own sugar house, and you could sign up for classes to learn how to make syrup. The school made it every year and it was sold in local stores. Good stuff.
