How does it make you feel when you are being hit on and the person says if only you were x amount of years older. I was recently in this position where a woman in her 60's said " If only you were 30 years older " I took it very kindly and we both had a good laugh about it.

however...
given my current age (16), I certainly wouldn't mind if an attractive woman in her mid-twenties started showing interest.

ive actually had this happen
lately the girls that hit on me are either too young or the mother of the girl that is too young. but i have noticed a trend in which the ages are getting closer to mine on either side. i did have the chick at the campus store hitting on me today.

I went to a local bar with a couple of friends to watch a Led Zeppelin cover band (who pulled it off very well btw--guitarist even pulled out a bow haha) and there were two older ladies there... I am guessing they were in their mid thirties to forties... anyways, I was just standing there enjoying the concert and they started to dance in front of me... and eventually they tried to get me to dance with them... but ughghghhhh.... my story telling skills are poor, I know, but they were attractive/mediocre for their age I guess... but they weren't hot enough to justify how old they were lol
This made the rest of the concert awkward as hell for me...

It is always a sad day when the blazingly attractive ones are always a year or two too young. |

Anyway, she said "Oh, if only I was 10 years younger..." to someone else in work who was around my age already. I cried inside

I dated one that was 38 last year, and we had a lot of good times. They are jsut more interesting to hang out with than girls my age, cause older women actually have conversations. |

Think of what they can teach you about life, love and what it was like during World War II.
You could shop for tennis balls for the feet of her walker together, discuss the latest breakthroughs in arthritis medications, laugh about her threats to leave you for Wilford Brimley and enjoy hard candy from the bottom of her purse.
Just be careful when expressing your love physically. Take it from me, hip replacement surgery is expensive. |

| | On the TB leaderboard for low talent/gear ratios! | | Join Date: Jun 2000 Location: NJ | | When I was still in college and underage, a friend and I found a bar/club that we could usually sneak into by coming in through the restaurant. One night a bouncer came right over to us as we got in but just as he came up to us a large group of women started yelling that we were with them and that they would leave if we had to leave. He let us stay, but told them that if any of us (me, my friend, or the women) caused any problems that we'd all have to leave. It turns out it was a bachelorette party.
My friend was 20, I was 19, they were all about 30-40, and that night is easily still the best time I've ever had in a bar. None of the women ever told us they wished we were _________ years older. They all seemed perfectly happy we were as old as we were.
So were we.
As a group they were pretty hot (thought so even before I stated drinking) but it's kind of scary to think that they'd all be about 60 by now! I wonder how well they've held up after all those years.

I'm 17 and I'd be quite comfortable dating a 19 year old, and when I'm 19 I'd be comfortable dating a 17 y/o.
I don't get along with girls my age, so "if only you were <x> years older" is a pretty common line for me.
