I'll be in Paducah, Kentucky for a few.

I'm coming down to record with this guy who contacted me out of the blue. He seems like a cool cat and has experience in LA, Nashville, Detroit, etc. I'm not sure exactly what to do with my downtime though. I'm sure there will be some and I'm sure I'll be bored out of my mind. Are there any good music stores or anything to do while I'm trying to kill time?

Believe it or not, Paducah is the hub of that part of Kentucky. Check out the casinos in Paducah and Metropolis, Il for shows shopping is decent at KY Oaks Mall and the other strip malls. For history, check out the markers in downtown and go to Metrpolis for the Superman statue. If you rent a car, you can check out Confederate or Civil War sites in Columbus, KY or Stewart Co. TN. There is a Jeff Davis monument in Todd Co. but it attracts a lot of KKK.

Sounds cool, except for the JD memorial. I used to live in Biloxi, Mississippi and that's where his mansion was. I think I've had enough of JD for a lifetime. Any good restaurants in Paducah?

Cool I go to school in a small town 45mins away. I only go to Paducah for the mall and nashville for my musical needs. As far as food goes I've always enjoyed buffalo wild wings or Red Lobster, they have amazing long island iced teas btw.

They have both of those places here. B-Dubs (as we call Buffalo Wild Wings up here, since it used to be BW3's a few years back before they changed the name) is always a cool place to hang out and pig out. I may hit there if I get hungry. I'm not sure how long I'll be there, maybe a week, maybe a couple of days depending on how long it takes to get the tracks down, and depending on how many tracks.

Yep, they have those here in Ohio too. If you've seen one meth lab, you've seen them all.
