Having a little fit with insomnia at the moment, so I figured I'd grab a quick bite. Looked in the fridge.... nothing grabbed my eye. So I looked in the pantry, and my oldest boy stashed a new jar of apple butter in there. Well, my belly isn't rumbling, and the apple butter go'd bye bye.

Talk about good stuff, though. Not that you should really eat it straight from the jar.... but it would have been better if it had made it to the fridge and got nice and cold before I popped the top and killed it.

We all sin sometimes. It's ok. I drank my friends last Dr. Pepper one time.

I think it's a midwest thing; my folks are from Missouri, where my aunts made it. Similar to apple sauce but a bit sweeter. IIRC it's more or less a condiment, for toast, pancakes & such.

What he said. At least you didn't get as desperate as my one friend that made a mustard sandwich. Two pieces of bread with mustard in between.

IMO, still not as bad as a toothpaste sandwich. Now that is desperation.

(On the plus side, you will end up having minty fresh breath all the time though )

I eat my 4 year olds candy all the time. Then he cries. I must owe him a mountain of gummy bears at this point. Poor little guy.

My 9 year-old asked me to get him a safe for Christmas so he could keep me from eating all his Doritos.

Yes. Every little bit. I know... I probably need to work out, as I've been trying to stay in shape. But, round is a shape. Right?

I LOVE applebutter, but there is no way i could eat a whole jar of it. A jar of it lasts me typically 3 months. Damn you must have been hungry.

Apple butter is delicious. Easily my favorite spread/condiment.

I've killed a jar of Nutella before.

I felt ashamed.

So deliciously, satisfyingly ashamed.

+1, I always thought that it was a Pennsylvania Dutch sorta thing. I used to get the best I ever tasted around Lancaster and such
