I'm disappearing, but not because of the rapture

It is finally that time of year again. I'm going back to the Kerrville Folk Festival, my happy place.

Like any numbers of longtime TB'ers will remember, I disappear for a while every summer to go live in a tent surrounded by hippies and acoustic music. Well it's almost time. This Thursday begins the eighteen-day event.

I will hopefully be able to post pics again. Last year was the only time I've ever managed.

I'm pretty ridiculously psyched.

Assuming you don't ascend during the rapture, have a blast and try to take some pics.

Kerrville Folk Festival would be great, though we're a bit far from the venue...

The closest, similar festival to us is Bluegrass in the Park in Henderson, Kentucky, August 12-13th.

I first heard of that festival on a plane where I was seated next to a guy who worked for Narada Michael Walden, and he told me about it.

Sounded like fun then, and still sounds like fun!

I apologize for the very quick semi hi-jack. This little festy is just 35 minutes east of Henderson and has been getting bigger/better every year. ROMP 2011 | Bluegrass Music Festival | International Bluegrass Music Museum

You're right. Dirty and unwashed isn't cute.

But recently washed and dirty is perfect.

I'm leaving in the morning. I can't wait!

Most years I either go for the first half or last half of the fest. This time it's the first four days and the last eight. So I'll get two or three extra days in, depending how you count it.

I haven't found what I did with my camera yet. So pics may or may not happen.
