I'm currently in Vegas, getting tires changed. I'll post pics when I get back in 2 weeks, we're going to glacier national park. I'll try to snap some shots of a moose or two

enjoy Talkbass in my absence, inform me of any epic threads when I get back.

I think that's the first time that sentence has ever had an exclamation point at the end.

Glacier is actually really cool. Beautiful country to see. Have a great time.

It's crazy around here for moose.

My father is on vacation right now. He just left Glacier Park. Evidently they had an avalanche that destroyed part of the road through it, so you no longer get to drive all the way through it like you could last year. They aren't planning on rebuilding the road either. Just going to turn that area into a hiking park area. Makes a lot of sense actually. I mean, we wouldn't want the bears to have to hunt wild game that can possibly out run them right?

PS: Am I the only one that started singing Zappa when they read the headline?

Make sure to pick up some farm-raised dental floss there. It is the best, handpicked with zircon-encrusted tweezers in the moonlighty-night, swished around in beeswax & sold in a little white box.

have fun!

I saw the thread header & Zappa immediately came to mind.

If you're flyin' in, the TSA may confiscate your Zircon encrusted tweezers.

Montana sucks! There's nothing there, the people are mean, there's no modern conveniences, the country is too rugged, and the weather is too extreme! It's a horrible place to visit, much less stay.

Nah, it's cool. Enjoy our State. It's been a cool summer so far and should be really pleasant when you're here.

mmkay, well, I got back a few hours ago.

all in all, it was a fun trip. Glacier National Park was incredible, the hikes offered the most indescribably amazing scenery I've ever seen, especially on the east side of the park. Saw some moose, grizzly bears, bighorned sheep, and mountain goats. The weather was quite cool, and it rained every day. A shocking difference from the 98 degree weather that I'm currently sitting in back home.

the state itself... ish... I felt like I was driving through a land completely void of existence. There was just... nothing. Green plains and hills as far as the eyes could see, no humans for miles, not even power lines. It was actually quite depressing. I'm glad I'm back in California.
